I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of Your Lordship's Despatch No. 73 of the 28th February regarding the state of health of Mr. R. H. A. Craig.

I shall be glad if the opportunity can be

taken of the unfavourable medical report to invalid Mr.Craig out of the Service. He is not a competent officer and his work has always been unsatisfactory, though it has not been possible to prefer a definite charge against him.

I enclose a pension form, showing the pensio

to which he would be entitled as from the 1st. July next. If it is decided not to invalid Mr. Craig,

he is entitled to leave on half salary for a period of eight

months and nineteen days.
